Have you ever felt like there was no point in trying? Why put forth an effort if it won't really matter? All the while wondering why God wasn't helping? God's not going to force us into anything, he won't make a way if we don't try. And he won't give us more trials than we can bare. Look at Job, there was a definate line that the devil was not allowed to cross untill God gave him permission. Check it out for yourselves http://eveninglight.org/BIBLE/hbkjv101/B18C001.htm
If we expect God to help, we have to do our part. For example, I really don't like budgeting, making ends meet, with one small income it's tough. But if I choose to ignore the problem and not try to fix it, how can God help? He will give us peace and wisdom in dealing with it, but he won't slap the finished solution down on the table, we have to be the vessel for him to work thru.
On a humorous note, my 6 year old told me something I found quite funny yesterday. Remember, she's only 6. "Mom, I wish it were still like in the olded days" I asked "What do you mean?" "Like when I was 2 and 3" she says. LOL
That's all for now.
God Bless you all!

What a day!
Well today has been quite a day, as always! LOL. It started out busy and is ending busy. As I was getting my tea ready to sit down this morning I got burnt. OUCH! It was a totally stupid thing of me to do. I was trying to be smart and got burnt anyways. I boiled my water away, (thought there was more in there) and I knew it would steam if I added more water while the pot was hot! I sat the pot on the sink ledge to use the sprayer so I wouldn't get the steam on me. Well that was a good idea right? Well I used the sprayer but held the handle out of the way with my hand. LOL, so on the tops of my fingers they all got burnt, oh did that hurt! They've been soaking all day. First a cold wet rag, than I tried some water in a cup. Finally I made a combination with a ice pack, washcloth and tea bags in a little rectangle container and I lay my hand in it. I can stand to have it out for a while now, but most of the day, I couldn't stand it out. It just plain burned to much. You don't realize how much you use your hand till you can't. Ever change a diaper one handed? LOL, not fun. My son got a hold of the sore hand while I had the other one busy. OUCH! My daughter helped with that one. I made banana bread, dinner, lunch and babysat with one hand. I'm sure it's do-able, some people are only blessed with one hand. For me one, one-handed day is enough!
I have a few more links to add, so be sure to check them out. I'm hoping to add more ideas on money-saving ways. Being a stay-at-home mom plus home school, plus trying to make ends meet on a small income, can be tough. So I'd like to share some ways we make ends meet. Plus a few other things that are dear to my heart!
So keep in touch and be sure to drop a note, so I know someone is a least reading it!
Have a great Day

A little about me!
Today we have snow! And cold temperatures. I've lived in Michigan my entire life and can't imagine living elsewhere. It is a chilly 29 out right now. Yesterday we got our first real snow of the year. We actually had to plow (and salt). There are a few areas without power, but mostly it's just cold outside. I think we got about 4" total, not to bad. They made it sound like it was going to be a lot worse than it was, but don't they allways. Well enough about the weather.
Like I said in my intro. we have 3 kids. Ages from 1 yr to 6 yrs old. 2 boys and 1 girl. I love being a mom, watching them learn is such a thrill. The 2 oldest are getting old enough to help out more, so that helps with the sanity! We homeschool them as well. They love school and learning, books, it's great being able to teach them. I come from a strong homeschooling family. We have lots of support, which is very helpful. Even if I didn't have the support I would still homeschool. I allways imagined it that way!
We have church with just a few. There's about 12 of us, all family, but that's not whats important. We used to be more, but people aren't interested in digging in the Bible for themselves, and when they do, they don't allways find what they want to see. So one by one, they left, choosing their own paths. But that's their choice, that's between them and God. We just pray that they make wise choices in their lives.
I'm not that old yet (at 29 I like to think so anyways), but we've been thru alot. The Lord has allways protected us, and for that we are very greatful. There have been many times he has put his hand out and protected us. It is without a doubt that I can say, he watches over us and answers prayer. Thru death of family, car accidents, child birth, real hardship, he's allways been there for me. Maybe I'll expound on them some other time.
I want to add a few of my favorite sites. I'll try to find a place on the side to post them, but for now, here they are.
http://eveninglight.org/ they now have a web radio as well. Great music you can't buy! No "chrisitan Rock" Wonderful messages of truth available to listen to as well.
http://www.e-sword.net/index.html Download a study Bible for free. You can add different translations and helps as well. It has the Strongs Concordance too. Love it!
http://www.starfall.com/ My kids love playing the "games" on here. And they are learning at the same time. What a great tool.
http://earth.google.com/ Download the earth onto your computer. It's free and you can see in depth different places around the world. It's kinda scary that they get that close, but neat to be able to see the Alaskan mountains and the Norwegian cities. Very neat tool.
Well that's it for now. Hop in if you have a comment. No debating, but honest questions are more than welcome.

Welcome!
I've decided to not just have this Blog, but to actually use it. So this is the first entry. I can't say how often I will post, but I will do my best. I have one on MSN spaces, but I don't like the format much, so I am moving it here. It's only 1 day old, so nothing lost there.
In searching thru the web, I found pretty much nothing on Non-Denomination Church of God believers. Most Church of God believers are affiliated with one of the many large organizations. I don't feel we need to have a "mother organization". We are members of Gods church without an "affiliation", if we live by what he has shown us to be true. I will post some of my favorite sites for those interested to find.
God Bless for now.
